Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to inform you that you can now apply online for a visa letter for entry in the Republic of Djibouti to attend the Africa Internet Summit (AIS) 2014.

The AIS’14 will be held from 25 May to 06 June 2014 in Djibouti. The deadline for application for the visa letter is 10 May 2014. You must already have registered for the AIS before you can apply for your visa letter.

The application for the visa letter can be completed directly at: http://www.internetsummitafrica.org/en/registration

  1. Click on Visa Facility
  2. Fill in the web form with the required details
  3. Upload the first two pages of your scanned passport copy (the page(s) with your pictures and details). The document's name must be your ''SURNAME + NAME'

The AIS Secretariat will send you your official visa letter 5-10 days after the deadline has passed.

The entry visa fee is 15,000 DJF (USD 90/ ± Euro 60 depending on the exchange rate) and must be paid in cash upon arrival by the delegate.

11 . 'Click on ‘submit’ at the bottom page

Please note that the visa letter is not the same as the AIS Invitation Letter. Your Invitation Letter is automatically provided after you have registered for the AIS. It is strongly recommended that you:

-         - Check all current entry requirements for Djibouti

-         - Present both letters to officials upon arrival

While we provide assistance for obtaining a visa on arrival by providing delegates with a visa letter, we strongly recommend that all delegates contact their nearest Djibouti consulate to check for visa requirements and apply for one in advance if necessary. Processing a visa upon arrival may take time and Immigration services will temporarily retain passports for a few days for further enquiry.

Look forward to seeing you soon in Djibouti.

 The AIS Secretariat
